Penetrating oil finish that protects and restores wood from the inside out

CWF-UV is a Clear Wood Finish that's designed to revitalize and restore weather-beaten, dried-out decks and exterior wood, and restore the rich, warm appearance of natural wood. CWF-UV wood finish protects against damages caused by moisture and ultraviolet rays, and provides a mildew-resistant wood finish that won't crack, peel or flake.

Where To Use
• Ideal for wood decks, siding, shakes, shingles, outdoor furniture and playsets.
• Use on pressure treated Pine, Cedar and Redwood that has weathered for one year.
• For new wood, use Flood® New Wood Defender™ immediately, and then use CWF-UV next year.
• Do not use on hardboard or plywood, including T1-11 or over previously stained, varnished or painted wood.
• For exterior use only. Do not use indoors or in screened-in or enclosed areas.

Preparation
• Clean wood with Flood® Wood Cleaner and Brightener.
• Remove old finishes with Flood PowerLift® or Stainstrip®.
• Allow wood to dry 2-3 days before applying CWF-UV.
• Use as is:  DO NOT THIN.
• Stir and blend all containers thoroughly.
• Cover all areas you don’t want to coat.

Application
• Apply wood finish with nylon or polyester brush, hand or power roller (3/4 inch synthetic nap cover), stain brush, airless sprayer (.017-.021 fluid tip at 1500-1800 psi).
• Apply wood finish between 50-80° F. Do not apply in hot sunlight.
• Do not apply wood finish if cold, wet weather is expected within 48 hours.
• Coat boards lengthwise until entire board has been coated
• Apply one coat of CWF-UV exterior wood finish. Let penetrate up to 20 minutes.
• If the first coat is not absorbed into the wood within 20 minutes, do not apply a second coat.
• If it is absorbed within 20 minutes, apply a second coat before first coat dries.
• Wipe up or brush out puddles to avoid shiny areas.
• If spraying, backbrush or roll to improve penetration and uniformity.

Dry Time
• Allow drying time from 24-48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. For continued protection, apply CWF-UV once every two years.

Clean Up
• Clean up brushes and tools with soap and water. If desired, use paint remover.
• Keep container closed tightly when not in use. Keep from freezing.
• CWF-UV exterior wood finish meets all environmental requirements.
• Danger – rags, steel wool or waste soaked with this product may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately after use, place rags, steel wool or waste in a sealed, water-filled metal container.
