After

We Paint contractors in Stockton, California, had their work cut out for them on this California home. But they tackled the job successfully using Flood products. This 20-year-old house is a two-story 3,000 square foot home with lapped redwood siding.

The homeowner has had the house repainted every 2-3 years because the paint on the home kept failing. "Heavy exposure areas were the west and southeast sides of the house," said Jason Gonzalez, owner of We Paint. "The paint did not hold at all on these areas."

We Paint had used Flood Solid Color Deck and Siding Stain on decks many times before, however, this was the first time they used it on the exterior of a house.

To start the job, We Paint power washed all the exterior to remove the dirt and loose paint. Then they used a power sander on all the bare areas to create a smooth, even finish. Exterior wood filler was applied were necessary, and caulk was applied to all the corners and butt joints. We Paint then applied two coats of Flood Solid Color Deck & Siding Stain using a spray gun, brush and roller.
