CWF-UV5 is a premium oil-based wood finish that protects and beautifies exterior wood. CWF-UV5 is specially formulated to guard exterior wood from its two biggest enemies – water and sun. CWF-UV5 is fortified with Flood’s exclusive
Penetrol® which deeply enriches the wood with superior penetration providing maximum protection. CWF-UV5 also absorbs and blocks the harmful rays of the sun.

Where to Use Penetrating Wood Finish
• All exterior wood – decks, siding, furniture.
• Allow all new wood to weather 1 year to dry out and open pores before finishing.

Surface Preparation for Penetrating Wood Finish
• Proper penetrating wood finish surface preparation is essential for Flood’s Limited Warranty to apply. See side of label for limited warranty details.
• Penetrating wood surfaces must be thoroughly clean, dry and free of dirt, mildew and previous coatings.
• Remove mildew with a solution of one part household bleach to four parts water.
• Clean weathered wood with Dekswood® Deck Cleaner and Brightener.
• Remove old finishes with Flood Powerlift® Deck Sealer Remover or Flood StainStrip® Exterior Stain Stripper.
• Allow penetrating wood finish 2-3 days dry time after cleaning before applying Flood CWF-UV5.

Application
• Stir thoroughly before and periodically during application.
• Apply liberally with a brush or roller then backbrush
• Note for porous or older wood: If required, apply a second coat before first coat has dried.

• 150 – 250 sq ft per gallon.
• Coverage will vary depending on the type, age and texture of
the wood.

• 24-48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.

Clean Up
• Clean with soap and water.

• DANGER – Rags, steel wool or waste soaked with this product may spontaneously catch fire if improperly discarded. Immediately after use, place rags, steel wool or waste in a sealed, water-filled metal container.
