Where to Buy Floetrol® Latex Paint Conditioner
Floetrol FAQ
Floetrol® Latex Paint Conditioner improves the performance of latex paint and keeps projects flowing smoothly. It gives latex paint the feel of oil paint, without the clean-up hassles. Floetrol also reduces tip clogging and piston freeze-up with cup gun spraying. It makes latex paint spray like oil paint with approximately 20 percent less pressure, adding life to the pump.
Where to Use• Add to latex paint to enhance performance, improve spray pattern and to ensure better coverage.
Preparation• Be sure painting surface is clean and free of dust and debris.• Mix paint thoroughly.• Try the paint first. If it drags, pulls or doesn’t level properly, add Floetrol directly to your paint.• Start with 1 pint per gallon. Use up to 1 quart of Floetrol for each gallon of paint. Let the paint’s workability be your guide as to how much Floetrol you need.
Application• Apply with roller, paint brush or spray gun.• For airless spraying from 5-gallon container: Mix ½ gallon of Floetrol into each 5 gallons of latex paint or enamel. • For cup gun spraying: Mix 4 to 8 ounces of Floetrol into each quart of latex paint or enamel to achieve the desired consistency and flow of the paint. The amount of Floetrol will not change the color or sheen of flat or semigloss paints.
Dry Time• The majority of latex paints when applied at room temperature will be dry (set-to-touch) within one hour or less and may be re-coated within four hours. Poor ventilation, low temperatures, thick films and high humidity will increase these times.
Clean Up• Clean up tools with soap and water.• The Floetrol container is completely recyclable for safe, environmentally-friendly disposal.LIMITED WARRANTY - Floetrol® Oil Paint ConditionerProduct Safety Information
