Stripping a Finish from Exterior Wood

3. APPLICATION -

Before starting your project, please read the complete label and safety precautions.


CAUTION:
Surfaces are slippery when wet. Use caution when walking on wet surfaces during application.

1. Shake well before using.


2. If using a garden sprayer, pour mixture into it.

3. For vertical surfaces, work from bottom to top.


4. Apply a uniform coat of StainStrip with brush, roller or garden sprayer.

5. Keep the surface wet.
Allow solution to stand for 10-15 minutes.


6. When finish begins to lift, scrub with stiff bristle brush. Do not use a wire brush.

7. Rinse surface and adjacent areas using highest pressure from a hose or pressure wash between 500-1000 psi.

8. If stubborn areas remain, repeat.


11. Clean tools with water.

12. Allow to dry 48-72 hours before finishing with a Flood exterior finish.


NOTE: Flood StainStrip® may darken Cedar and Redwood. If this occurs use Flood Dekswood® to brighten these specific types of wood.
